Where ChessBit Is Available

How Availability Works

ChessBit serves a defined list of countries — if a country isn't on the list, signup is refused rather than quietly allowed. There are three groups:

• Open countries — sign up normally. Most of Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Africa, plus countries like Australia, New Zealand, Japan and India.
• Acknowledgment countries — served on a reverse-solicitation basis: before signing up you confirm, on an interstitial, that you sought ChessBit out yourself. This covers the United States, United Kingdom, EU countries, Canada, Switzerland, Norway and a few others. The acknowledgment is re-confirmed periodically.
• Not served — countries under international sanctions, several others for legal reasons, and Panama (our home jurisdiction, excluded by law). Signups from these are declined.

A few sub-national regions are also excluded even where the country is served — currently Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (India), Ontario (Canada), and Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk.

What This Means in Practice

• The signup flow applies the right treatment automatically based on where you are — if you can complete signup, you're in a served region.
• Your residence country at verification matters too: Level 1 only accepts residents of served countries, and India requires your state.
• Using a VPN to disguise a restricted location breaks the Terms of Service and risks the account and its funds — declared and detected locations are checked against each other.

It's Your Responsibility Too

Laws change, and availability can change with them. You're responsible for making sure playing on ChessBit is legal where you live — when we withdraw from a market, affected players are notified and can withdraw their funds.
