Verification Levels & Limits
ChessBit's five verification levels, what each one asks for, the deposit, withdrawal and stake limits they unlock, and what happens when you hit a limit.
The Ladder
You verify from your Profile → Verification section, which the app also calls Tiers. Levels have to be completed in order.

Lifetime deposit ceilings also apply at the lower levels ($2,500 at Level 1, $50,000 at Level 2). Withdrawals have daily and 30-day limits but no lifetime limit. All limits are measured in USD value, whatever coin you use, and the daily and 30-day limits are rolling windows, not calendar days.
The Max stake column is the ceiling for your level. While your rating is still settling, your stake cap is lower than that. See Matchmaking & ratings.
What Each Level Involves
- Level 1: name, date of birth, address, occupation and a politically-exposed-person question. Usually decided automatically in moments. A "yes" to the political-exposure question, a country on the international watch list, a disposable email address or a mismatched connection location sends it to a person to review instead.
- Level 2: a guided ID + selfie check through our verification partner (Didit); it takes a few minutes. A manual document upload is the fallback.
- Level 3: proof of address issued within the last three months (a utility bill, bank statement or government letter).
- Level 4: a source-of-wealth questionnaire (income, expected volumes) reviewed by our compliance team.
When You'll Be Asked to Level Up
- Staking above your level's cap.
- A deposit that would pass your level's daily, 30-day or lifetime limit, or a withdrawal that's above your level's limits. For example, a single withdrawal above $200 at Level 1, or above $1,000 at Level 2, asks you to complete the next level.
- Certain risk checks can also ask for the next level.
When you hit a limit, deposits, withdrawals and staked play are paused until the next level is approved. A held deposit is credited then. A withdrawal over your limit is refused rather than queued, so submit it again once you're verified.
Verification is once per level. Completed levels don't need redoing unless your details change or our team asks you to re-verify. ChessBit is 18+ only, everywhere, at every level.
