Real money means real risk: the limits ChessBit applies, how to ask for a break, a lower limit or self-exclusion, and where to find help.
Chess on ChessBit is skill, not chance: there's no house edge and no RNG working against you. But real money carries real risk: you can lose the funds you stake, and a better player will beat you. Play with money you can afford to lose, at stakes that keep it fun.
- 18+ only, everywhere. You confirm you're 18 or over at signup, and your date of birth is checked at Level 1 verification. Accounts found to be under 18 are blocked from all real-money activity.
- Staged limits. Your verification level caps deposits, withdrawals and stakes; see Verification levels. Stakes start at $1; nothing forces you higher.
- Escrow and fair play. Stakes are locked in escrow and every game runs under Argus, so the game you're risking money on is a real one.
Ask us for a cooldown or self-exclusion, no questions asked. Email support@chessbit.io from your account's email address, put "Cooling-Off Request" or "Self-Exclusion Request" in the subject, and tell us the period you want (from 24 hours to permanent). We'll block play on your account for that time and confirm by email. You can still log in to see your history and withdraw your balance. We can also lower your limits for you, by capping the most you can stake per game. Our team will never talk you out of a break or push you to keep playing.
These are applied by our support team on request; there are no self-service limit or self-exclusion switches in the app at the moment.
Deposits during a break. On request we also switch deposits off on your account. The deposit screen then stops showing deposit addresses. A deposit is an on-chain transfer, though, so we can't stop one that is sent to an address you already hold. If one still arrives it is held, not credited, and our team will contact you about it. If you're taking a break, please don't send any.
