How long ChessBit withdrawals take: automatic processing, what triggers a manual review, declined or failed withdrawals, and network confirmation times.
Withdrawals are processed automatically once they pass our security checks, typically within minutes. Some withdrawals get a manual review, which can take up to 24 hours. How to request one is in How to withdraw.
A person looks at a withdrawal when it matches patterns like:
- Your first withdrawal, when it's $100 or more
- An account younger than about a week
- An address we haven't paid you at before, once you've been paid at least once
- Large amounts. $3,000 or more is always checked by hand, and $5,000 or $10,000 and up may need extra documents. You also need verification Level 3 to withdraw more than $1,000 in one go.
- Many requests in a short time. At Level 1 you can make up to 3 withdrawal requests in 24 hours. From Level 2, a sixth request within 24 hours, or more than $7,500 in total over 24 hours, gets a manual check.
None of these mean something is wrong. They're standard checks on a real-money platform. You'll be notified in-app when the withdrawal is approved. A routine manual review needs nothing from you.
Once broadcast, the usual confirmation times apply:

The withdraw screen only offers networks we can currently pay out on, so use the options it shows. You get a transaction ID (TXID) to track it on a block explorer.
- If your withdrawal is above what your verification level allows, we'll ask you to verify first. Nothing is sent until you do, so submit it again afterwards. See Verification levels.
- If we decline a withdrawal, the full amount goes back to your balance. If the payout itself hits a technical problem, your funds stay reserved while we fix it; message us if it's been over a day.
- If a withdrawal has been pending for more than 24 hours with no notification, contact us on Discord or at support@chessbit.io with the withdrawal amount, coin and time submitted.
