Why Verification Exists
ChessBit is a real-money platform, so we verify players in stages — enough to meet our anti-money-laundering obligations and keep one-person-one-account true, without asking everyone for everything up front.
When Each Level Is Required
Browsing — no verification. Create an account and look around freely.
Playing for money and depositing — requires Level 1: a short personal-details form (name, date of birth, address, occupation). No documents.
Higher stakes and larger amounts — Level 2 adds a government-ID check with a selfie, done in a few minutes through our verification partner (Didit), with a manual upload fallback.
Serious volume — Level 3 (proof of address) and Level 4 (source of wealth) raise or remove the limits entirely.
Complete the level you need — Level 1 is a form and is usually decided automatically within moments; some cases get a short human review.
For Level 2+, follow the guided ID flow (or upload documents manually if prompted).
You'll be notified when the level is approved, and anything waiting on it (a deposit, a withdrawal) proceeds.
Sometimes We Ask First
A withdrawal over $3,000, fast-growing deposit volume, or certain risk checks can trigger a request to complete the next level before the transaction continues. The transaction waits — it isn't lost.
Your Data
Verification data is encrypted at rest and used for compliance only. You can export a copy of your account data from your profile at any time.
ChessBit is 18+ only. Verification that indicates an under-18 user ends the account — no exceptions.
